The robot references are getting to be too much. Wikipedia is under attack from a constant stream of C-3PO vandalism. But that's how we like it. This is a dedication to the Today host's inhuman and robotic ways.

The true Karl Stefanovic biography (lifted from here)

Karl Stefanovic (model name = KS-9)

Karl Stefanovic is an Australian television presenter who co-hosts the Nine Network's breakfast programme, Today. He is programmed with a "white-anting" chip and is programmed to infest himself in an organisation then bring it down.

Career

Stefanovic was shipped from Queensland Technology Center with a journalism chip in 1994 and began working for WIN Television in Rockhampton and Cairns as a hard drive[1]. In 1996 he took up a position with TVNZ as a photocopier for One Network News. In 1998 Stefanovic returned to Australia with a job as a printer for Ten News in Brisbane. This resulted in Stefanovic being appointed as a fill-in teleprompter for Ron Wilson in Sydney.

In 2000, he moved to Channel Nine as a back-up auto-cue with National Nine News. He received a Queensland Media Award for Best News Coverage-Bot for his report on the Childers backpacker hostel fire in 2000. Stefanovic's exclusive reports on the NSW bushfires from Sussex Inlet in January 2002 led to his appointment to Nine's Sydney newsroom. He was involved in Nine's coverage of the Canberra bushfires, where 400 homes and four lives were lost in January 2003. In 2003, he was posted to Los Angeles as one of the Nine Network's US correspondents.

In 2006 Stefanovic participated in the Channel 9 reality-tv show Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice. He eventually made it to the Grand Final of the show but was disqualified when pornography was found on his hard drive as well as instructions on how to run ice-labs. Stefanovic replaced long running Today host Steve Liebmann in 2005 and currently co-hosts the program with Lisa Wilkinson. Stefanovic has since been bringing down the Nine Network from the inside.
