How's everyone doing on their collection? Got all the podcasts, including the Richard Marsland memorial? Got the Prior and Recent Offenses? Got Illegal Download? What about the full radio episodes? Answering your phone to the ringtones?
I listen to the radio show every day. It's very rewarding.

"I'm still after high-res artwork that I can use for the radio show. I've only got 300 x 300 DPI images. Got anything bigger?" it all is pretty much 548 X 369 (am I reading it right?), its just pics from the website plus some pics from the rally. If there is an easy webspace someone knows that I can put this stuff up there I will. Is there a webspace at the moment with this all and I can add to it ? I'm going through the full ep's at the moment, almost finished year 1 ... still as good as ever, and way better than the rubbish on the radio now.

I posted this to my blog, it happened this morning. Nice to know there are still some fans out there.
I am a fan of the greatest show to have ever been on radio in the world. Get This ran for two years 2006-2007, and even now, two years later, I can listen to any one of the 162(+1) podcasts and always find myself laughing uncontrollably. The show has had such an influence on my life, I usually drop in a Get This reference to just about every blog entry I do. For other fans of the show, they will understand this blog post, for anyone else, I suggest you get the podcasts, put them on your Pot/Kettle, and enjoy the show.
Today while out doing some shopping, a woman was talking, on the loudish side, on her mobile phone. Ignoring the obvious lack of knowledge she had for AGC (Automatic Gain Control), I could not help but overhear the following line, which lead to a very Get This moment:
* Woman: How are the dogs, how are Paris and Toto? * At this point, nay on a millisecond later, the PA system in the store starts playing “Africa” by Toto. * I say half under my breath “Marsland!” * At which point a guy in the next aisle calls out “Get This!” Before laughing his head off.
I know it is a “you had to be there” thing, but it certainly made my day, and it is great that a show that ended two years ago is still making me smile.

Agreed, to the fullest extent! Funny story too lady. The show was great to listen to during work back in 2006 and I couldn't thank technology enough for the internet and podcasting. They always put a grin on my face.

Another recent video, a shell pool fell alarmingly over a kid, with the message blaming the thugs in the scallop industry. Still going strong. (By the way i am not watching the show by choice, family issues prevent me from freedom, or at least the mute button - as Kavalee advises)

Hi all, I'm absolutely busting to find out the original piece of music whenever Ed used to announce his prizes. Does anyone also know where the music from the infamous Warrick Capper calls were sourced? I've been trying to track it down for months to no avail. I really hope someone can at least identify one of them.

Hi guys!
Just thought I would let everyone know that I've just put up my first version of a Get This! sound board application called 'The Marsland 5000' (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=331073739&mt=8). At the moment it's fairly basic, but it currently has over 60 classics from the show, including most of the Warwick Capper sound bites.
I have plans to update this app fairly regularly with new sounds and features. I don't plan to charge for it as I'm a hardcore Get This! fan myself and am just doing it for the love of the show, so hope you all enjoy!!
If you have any requests for particular sounds to be added, you can email me on the iTunes support email and preferably quote a podcast number where you heard the sound.
Cheers! Jesse.

i stumbled across an email address that i could write to to book greg fleet and this is what happened. a more creative response from the fleetman would have been nice but it still made me chuckle. g'day,
i was wondering how much it would cost me to get Greg stripping in my garage whilst juggling an assortment of self help books and mayonnaise to the soundtrack of pirates of the Caribbean. also would it be possible to book delivery man 2 to iron my socks?
cheers...

Now I've searched the site and cannot find which episode they play all of the Rex Hunt gear for the first time... i.e. the Address To The Nation gear. I've found the episode where Santo gives it to the boys, but they don't play the actual clips, and I want to know which episode has the full live quotes and other stuff. Does anyone knows?
The one that Santo gives it to the boys is 250707, so it ain't that one. I think. lol thanks heaps guys!!!

Now that full episodes are readily available (thanks, guys!), how about a complete episode guide? I'm thinking a wiki page for each show, with a reasonably detailed listing of topics of conversation, etc., and a cross-index for things like sketches that appear several times.
For example, I just happened to think of the "Watersports" bit. I'm giggling just thinking about it. I'd love to be able to do a quick search and put that episode on the iPod for tomorrow's commute.
So that's what I'm doing:
http://jumperpants.info/wiki/Main_Page
And to start with, I'm halfway through annotating my all-time favorite episode, which I was listening to when I hatched this whole plan: http://jumperpants.info/wiki/Episode_74 .
I'm making it ad-free. I happen to run a server anyway, so (assuming traffic is reasonable) hosting shouldn't be a problem.
If you feel like joining in, especially if you have serious wiki experience with things like templates, that would be terrific.
P.s.: "Watersports" (tee hee) is in the 17 July 2007 ep. I had to find it the hard way.

So the boys weren't legally able to post this on the Triple M site when it first fell into their laps, but I've looked a few times for a copy of this to no avail. I'm not interested in a transcription. I want to hear the undiluted lunacy of this madman for myself.
Does anyone have a copy? When was it broadcast? How did Snatto Ghaurro get a copy of it?

I'm a week or two late watching this. I freaked out when I saw The Tone as Vince Colossimo's character's gay partner. He did a fine job for such a small role, and a different direction for him! He looked quite tall for some reason, and perhaps not as rake-thin as we're accustomed to.
He had more on-screen time than when he was that Russian waiter in the final episode of "Newstopia" and he muttered "Selwyn Froggitt" under his breath.

For all those looking for the files once made available at yellowbelliedblacksnake.info, I have good news (and boy do we need it right now).
I have finished uploading the 2006 episodes to a free hosting service. They can be found by follwing this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=c4dd4fb09f35098291b20cc0d07ba4d258a48aef1753be4d
Now, please keep in mind that these episodes have not been labelled properly (original file names from yellowbelliedblacksnake.info) so to be able to play them in proper chronological order you may have to arrange the mp3s into the proper folders by month on your Hard Drive like I've shown (I didn't bother with a playlist file this time around. Sorry).
I'm going to take a quick break from uploading (my ADSL has been tied up due to this) and then continue with the 2007 episode a bit later. Those will take much longer to do as they are larger files but I will let everyone know when they are done.
Check back here in a week for the 2007 shows...

I have just started a new job and what do I have to listen to.... GET THIS... gotta love it.
Say... I downloaded the full episodes a while ago, adverts and all... Is there a set of episodes that someone has created without the ads, news and songs in them??
While its not a chore, If i could, id rather now have to listen to what the weather and football scores are from 2 years ago :).
Great work by all here though!!!!, we need to keep the Get This band alive... even after those yellow belly black snakes @ austereo have forgotten.
Cheers, Aaron

How Good Is This?
I've finally got round to posting the 2007 eps - it's a very manual process :(

If you find any broken links please post a comment on the page. Also, please click on an ad that you find interesting - it helps me pay for the hosting.
I've got the full podcast series available too - please post here/blog if you want them. I will do the work if there is significant demand.
